So I am coming back to eve after a few years, and decided to start making some isk by doing missions. I'm rather new to missions as I spent most of my time in eve doing pvp. I have been trying to do some research as to what ships to fly, and seeing as most of the information is outdated because of the recent patch changes, I figured this would be the best place to ask.
1. I have around 400m to spend so keep that in mind. As of right now it seems either the Domi (which I would need to train still) or the Gila (which I have sufficient skills to fly well already) seem to be the best bet. Also seeing as there are spare high slots in the Gila, that would allow me to salvage as well, which I am interested in doing. I am unsure which one to pursue, and I am also open to other ship options as well.
2. Are drone boats even viable with the new changes? I hear a lot of people saying they are not, but some saying they are. I hear sentries are the way to go now but if that can be confirmed that would be great. Most of my skills are located in Drones/Turrets.
3. Kind of off topic, but as of now I am grinding standings with corps in the Gallente region, is that a good place to do lvl 4's or is there better isk profit elsewhere?

Thank you all for your fast replies. So definitely leaning towards going with the Gila, can anyone link me a good fit? or give me some numbers for how much dps/tank i should be looking to get out of it?

Next time maybe take time to read the thread, I already stated I was wanting to go for the Gila, my main question was if it was still viable in lvl 4's anymore, and if there was a better alternative.
After reading what everyone has said, I came up with a pretty good passive tank fit in eft that matches my skills and will be giving it a try tonight, thanks again for everyone's input and help I really appreciate it. |
